Support and insight when you need it most…
It’s not easy going through life constantly being pulled in so many directions…
You’ve had a stressful day at the office with a demanding boss; but the children have soccer practice after school, and you haven’t even thought about what’s on the menu for dinner.
Friends complain that you haven’t been yourself lately, and how can you be when things at home are a chaotic mess? You’re at odds with your partner about how to raise your children, your teen shuts herself away – something’s bothering her, but she won’t talk to you about anything.
How do you get back in the driver’s seat of your life?
So often you get caught up in trying to fix the problems of those around you that you forget to focus on another important person… YOU.
We all have different responsibilities and obligations that require our care and attention, but there are times when we also need help and support figuring out the challenges we face.
And when we get consumed with trying to fix everyone or everything around else, it can feel like we’re out of control of our own life – because of the pressure we put on ourselves to solve problems on our own.
Therapy is a place where you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Therapy can help you untangle the confusion and motivate you to try again, achieve your potential, and discover your purpose.
And I can help. I’ll provide support as you gain insight into the challenges that can keep you or your family caught in the cycle of dissension and help you develop healthier coping skills.
In our therapy sessions, you are accepted where you are, while encouraged to grow. Everyone is taught that they are valuable.
I use multiple approaches to help my clients cope and overcome their challenges.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) gives healthy coping skills a name and practical life application. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) involves thinking through and processing concerns and solutions, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) teaches effective coping skills and prepares individuals to be able to talk about upsetting and confusing events.
These techniques are utilized in the therapeutic setting, among others. Treatment is individualized, and success is personalized.
Experience and knowledge that understands you…
Over two decades of professional and personal experience have led to the development of effective techniques to aide my clients in lowering and managing their distress levels, creating effective schedules that improve time management, and interpersonal skills that increase positive relationships.
I’ve also helped them develop focus skills that foster success and improve boundaries that increase the feeling of safety and strengthen healthier choices.
Because of the increased opportunities in my personal life, I understand the needs of individuals with varying degrees of poor focus, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, unwanted obsessive thoughts, upsetting and confusing life events, suicidal ideations, and substance abuse.
I’ve developed additional specific skills for adults, parents, and children to manage unwanted symptoms throughout a lifetime and not just a band aid for the moment.
For example, a mother may feel high distress, have guilt about her parenting skills, worry about her child’s future, as well as worry about what others think of her. She’s also trying to parent a strong-willed child who is intelligent but avoiding homework; sweet and kind, but impulsively defiant; slow and distracted when completing most tasks; and generally creating daily conflict in the home.
In therapy, I give insight into the situation and provide immediate specific solutions. These solutions include getting ready in the mornings, improving performance during the day, and peacefully entering the home in the evenings. Solutions also include juggling tasks with limited time, as well as keeping all family members emotionally regulated.
With specific healthier coping skills, individuals truly do feel a sense of relief, and hope, and motivation for the future. There are answers, and the solutions are realistic and enjoyable.
You’re ready for a life of happiness, success, and satisfaction…
… and I can show you how to get there. What you’ve tried in the past isn’t working, and you’re ready for real solutions.

About Me
Though I was raised in a home with mental health professionals, much of my professional growth came not just from my collegiate training, but from the various hospitals and companies where I’ve worked. It’s a combination of my experiences, maturing spiritual faith, and having family members with varying ADHD symptoms, addictions, and life stressors.
The culmination of these experiences has given me broad insight as a therapist, to empathize, as well as strategize healthier and happier outcomes.
I am honored to be a support for you during your healing journey.
