Children’s Therapy

There are days when you sound like a broken record.

You ask your child multiple times and multiple ways to complete a task before it finally gets done.

“Brush your teeth… It’s time for bed soon, be sure to be brush your teeth… Have you brushed your teeth, yet?”

“No playing games until your homework is done… Turn off the T.V., you need to start your homework… Dinner will be ready soon – did you finish your homework?”

The progress report came home from school, and his conduct was poor again, or the grades took a dive…

You want to try therapy for your child…

… but you really don’t know what to expect.

Will the therapist question your parenting skills? Does the therapist even know how to help your child? What if your child spends all this time in session and nothing helps?!

But you know now is the time to act to find a solution. So, you call me and make the appointment…

And the burden begins to lift.

You feel a quick sense of relief. We talk more about your child, and you begin to feel excited – because you now have real hope.

Hope that your child can get through tasks when just asking her once.

Hope that the next progress report will show improvement in his behavior or grades.

I’ll help you and your child find the peace you both need.

Children’s therapy is a great place for us to get to the root of why your child behaves the way they do or why they may struggle with completing certain tasks.

I will provide you with multiple skills starting in the very first session.

Children often grab some Life Saver candy out of the dish, then sit on the floor by the red wagon, full of sand, various scoopers, and sea creatures.

Their initial anxiety quickly decreases as children dig and create while talking about issues that are troubling for them or you.

I often sit on the floor with them, creating a relaxed, playful, and accepting environment, as we learn more effective coping skills together.

Don’t spend another night arguing over homework.

Or hounding him to stay on task.
